Tearing off the mask
unshackling my 'burden' of personality
to find out who I really am
still lost, still searching, still wanting

A meaning of life to cling to
now redundant in the vacuum of space and time
I've become incongruent with all I know
in this dilemma of existence.

No!

Some of us become hedonists
Some lose all their fire
Some will choose sweet ignorance,
All of us have our own hill to climb

Go round and round in circles
back to reasons edge
Some deify what crushes them -
A leap of faith - double down on a lie
or deliverance through suicide.

The only philosophical question is
What keeps us from killing ourselves?
We persevere on...
