Growing up in poverty
Homeless on the rise
Foodbanks almost empty
No-ones giving, no surprise
I had dreams of academia
Student debt keeps me down
Overwhelming pessimism
Misanthropy I have found
But to hell with self-pity
And fuck you Tory scum!
I know where I have come from
I know what I've overcome
I'm not pointing fingers of where our cultures clash
But these are my roots of why I'm playing punk and thrash!
